For making around 20” jade bead necklace you will require around 80 round jade beads, the number of beads required depends upon the size and shapes of beads. These jade beads are available in many different shapes and sizes, if are opt for large size beads then obliviously you will need less beads, you can even add some crystal beads or pearls to your necklace.

Then you have to select type of string. For stringing jade beads nylon string is advisable since it is very sturdy and will not break easily, silk string is pretty and traditional but it is not at all sturdy. These strings are available in all colors; even invisible strings are also available.

Cut the string of appropriate length then slide one part of clasps, you can have any type of clasps you like for this necklace. Then tie knot, if you don’t want to tie knots after every jade bead then you can even add crimp beads, but then seal those crimp beads you will require crimp bead tool. In the beginning you can go for knots.
